C/Z Records is the legendary Seattle-based label that launched the much lauded grunge phenomenon with the release of the Deep Six Compilation (CZ001) in 1986, a record that featured the first ever released recordings from Soundgarden, Melvins, Skin Yard and Malfunkshun, as well as some of the earliest music from U-Men and Green River (the band that later spawned Mother Love Bone & Pearl Jam).

Over the decades, C/Z released material from Nirvana, Built to Spill, Melvins, Skin Yard, Presidents of the United States of America,
7 Year Bitch, The Gits, Hammerbox, Henry Rollins, Love Battery, Moonshake, Coffin Break and Gerald Collier, to list but a few.
